Stripes but not stripes
I love going to auction houses and flea markets to find fabric.
I found this gorgeous fabric at a flea market. I am unsure of its exact fibre, but it reminds me of the light wool that a suit is made from. It has these great subtle patterns through the weave as well as more bold stripes of grey, taupe and blues.
I love it draped simply on my dress form like this, but also can see it as a knee length dress with a fitted top and gathered or pleated skirt. Maybe a high neck cuff with a bow at the back.
Goodness, I don’t know where to begin!!
If you think you would like a garment made form this fabric, drop me a line. 🙂
